About
I am a National Research Foundation-funded Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Stellenbosch. My project focusses on the work of the Mothercraft Movement in the British Empire between 1907 and 1945, focussing in particular on mothercraft's promotion of breastfeeding.
Primarily a historian of South African childhood, I am also interested in histories of food, medicine, and consumerism.
