About
I hold a PhD in theology in science (neuroscience, consciousness, identity, strong artificial intelligence and African theology).
My primary research interests include intersubjective identity, the African philosophy of ubuntu, the neuroscience of identity, the neuroscience of belief, African Christian theology and the emerging Church conversation.
I am a member of staff in Ekklesia in the Faculty of Theology at the University of Stellenbosch where my primary focus is on graduate studies and research in Spiritual Formation and Missional Leadership. I am also a research assistant in the department of New Testament at the University of Pretoria, and a research associate in the Institute for the Study of Religion at the University of South Africa.
I am an international editor for the journal 'The Epworth Review'. I am a member of the Oxford Institute of Methodist Theological studies, the Theological Society of Southern Africa, the South African Science and Religion Forum and the Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization's Theological working group (poverty, justice and HIV/AIDS).
